Italian psychology between illusionism, common sense and conform-ism: is there still room for cultural policy?

Abstract

The authors discuss the notions of “common sense” and “conformism” under a theoretical profile, evidencing that the decisive objective of psychology is not so much the distancing from common sense understood as the “capacity” of the human mind in generating intuitive representations of reality but rather the critique of common sense as a product of the mass illusion which chracterizes contemporary society. In Italy, in particular, a more than twenty year old “illu-sionistic” policy has determined marked cultural degradation within the Coun-try.
