Psychotherapy and its context. A case of lacking analysis of demand

Abstract

The paper provides a critical presentation of the clinical case reported by Freud in the work 'Wild' Psychoanalysis of 1910. The analysis of the case, carried out by using the criteria of analysis of demand, allows us to propose the close relationship between clinical problems and context where they are analyzed from a psychotherapeutic perspective. The concept of psychotherapy is extended to a wider area of clinical psychological intervention, consistent with a practice which takes into account the relationship between the problem presented to the clinical psychologist and the influence of the problem on the context.
